Wo(men) Mind the Water Podcast

Exploring the connection between women and water through storytelling

But when we want to communicate, we use art. Wo(men) Mind the Water Artivist Series

Wo(men) Mind the Water podcasts engage artists in conversation about their work. We explore their connection with the ocean and how it influences their art. Through these stories, we hope to inspire you and move you to take action to protect the ocean.

We have spoken with more than 80 artivists from across the globe. Our latest podcast features Indira Brooks, a native of Roatán, Indira is the social environmental program manager at the Roatán Marine Park. Roatán is an island about 40 miles off the northern coast of Honduras. Indira works in many ways to protect the island's marine resources. This work now includes working to institute an island-wide ban on sunscreens containing petrochemicals.

Next is a chat with Jada Alexander, founder of the Daybreak Beach Club. Jada uses water-based activities to help people cope with environmental anxiety and encourage them to be stewards of the ocean.
