Wo(men) Mind the Water Podcast

Exploring the connection between women and water through storytelling

But when we want to communicate, we use art. Wo(men) Mind the Water Artivist Series

Wo(men) Mind the Water podcasts engage artists in conversation about their work. We explore their connection with the ocean and how it influences their art. Through these stories, we hope to inspire you and move you to take action to protect the ocean.

We now have spoken with 90 artivists from across the globe. Our latest podcast features Todd Medema, a graduate of Carnegie Mellon who will soon publish his first book, an eco-thriller about a high seas heist. It’s an adventure that provides a welcome escape from the worries of everyday life.

Our next guest will be Lily Niederhofer, a preteen and octopus advocate who conceived of an open-water swim to raise awareness and money to help put a stop to the world’s first proposed industrial octopus farm. Also coming soon are a coral reef artist and a senior citizen who collaborates with others to remove trash from local lakes.
