End of March News
So much movement in the trees outside my window as the colder March air is being replaced by warmer springtime temperatures. Our latest artist interview features Dale Andree whose life’s work has been driven by movement - dancers’ bodies. Dale is the founder and organizer of National Water Dance, a biannual event that connects dancers from across the country. They come together for a dance event, held on even numbered years, to share personal expressions about water and the environment. These expressions aim to heighten awareness of the world that surrounds us. Women Mind the Water also aims to expand her world view too. We are seeking to have conversations with a greater diversity of artists and step beyond the boundaries of the United States. In April we expect to share conversations with a guest artist who created a mural festival in Akumal, Mexico and artists who participated. And, PLEASE, as springtime is upon us, check out the T-shirts in our shop. Proceeds go to The Marine Mammal Center.
