Reflecting on the past while celebrating the New Year

As we begin a new year, Women Mind the Water wants to celebrate her accomplishments. Since we began publishing the Women Mind the Water Artivist Series podcast we’ve hosted 35 guests representing Indonesia, Mexico, England, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, and Belize. The artists have worked in a range of media including seaweed, cake, glass, porcelain, watercolor, and reclaimed plastic. The stories of all guests have been included in the Smithsonian Institution’s Main Street Collection and 10 have appeared on the pages of Maine Women Magazine. Truly, a lot to celebrate! Recently, news articles by Women Mind the Water founder Pam Ferris-Olson have appeared on earth.org, a global environmental news platform focusing on the repercussions of climate change. Women Mind the Water is excited at the possibilities for 2022 with new guests, expanded news coverage, and more.
