iTunes and Press about Us

I’m working diligently to enrich and improve the website. Thanks to one suggestion, Women Mind the Water podcasts are now available on iTunes. This audio only version is free and available for download on your phone, iPad, or other listening device. These same podcasts also are available on the Women Mind the Water website. Find them under the Audio Podcast heading. A version with video can be viewed on the website and found under the Video Podcast heading. The latest podcast, in audio and video versions, is a discussion with Mary Chatowsky Jameson, artist/owner of Saltwater Studio in Newport, Rhode Island. Mary’s art showcases the colors, shapes, and textures of marine botanicals. Next up is Jill Pelto, a glaciologist/artist. Jill expresses her love of nature and science with watercolor and ink.

A very nice article about Women Mind the Water appeared on September 8 in the online version of  The Forecaster. This article by Alex Lear discusses the work Women Mind the Water is doing to celebrate the bond between women, water and storytelling noting that “in creating Women Mind the Water, she [Pam Ferris-Olson] has offered a forum that encourages collaboration among women.”

An article about Hope Rovelto, the independent screen printer who does T-shirts for Women Mind the Water will be featured in the October edition of Maine Women Magazine. Visit the Women Mind the Water shop to view the T-shirts screen printed for us by Hope.  And, check out the October edition of the magazine to learn about Hope. She’s an inspiration.

Please visit the Women Mind the Water website often, recommend it to others, and email me at womenmindthewater@comcast.net if you have suggestions or would like to discuss collaboration.
