Two New Podcasts and An Octopus
Two new podcasts are now available. Water Podcast Episode 9 features Polly Dawson of Del Sol Photography. Polly’s background includes international fashion design, diving, and underwater photography. Her diving career along the east coast of Africa makes a good story and her underwater photograph of a mermaid wedding proposal makes the podcast a must view! Podcast Episode 10 features Sophie Davis is an accomplished violinist and member of the Halcyon string ensemble. The group combines music and art to cultivate environmental stewardship.
In the artwork section you will find Catch Me Later . The octopus represents a worldwide population that is becoming increasingly at risk due to fishing, both directly as a source of food and as incidental take from fishing efforts for other species. Octopuses also face dangers from noise and plastic pollution and changes in ocean conditions from global warming.
