Wo(men) Mind the Water Artivist Series podcasts feature inspirational individuals who share their passion for the ocean. They are artivists (artists and activists, in other words creative people) who discuss their connection with the ocean and their ocean-inspired art. Through their stories and art, we hope to inspire YOU and move YOU to take action to protect the ocean. Wo(men) Mind the Water podcast is nearing its 100th episode. Video versions are available on the Wo(men)Mind the Water website, and audio-only versions can be heard on this website, Spotify and on iTunes.

We’ve reached a milestone - 100 episodes! The Wo(men) Mind the Water Artivist Series, a production that features artivists from across the globe speaking about their ocean-inspired art. and work. The newest episode features Rebecca Aquilar who works in San Francisco on documentary film production including a film titled Speaking with Giants focused on whale communication. Next up we’ll be in the Philippines looking at the homely dugong.

Who is Wo(men) Mind the Water?

Women are influenced by the tides that flow within them. This is why Wo(men) Mind the Water explores the connection between women and water using storytelling. Our brand of storytelling conveys both a passion for the ocean and the artful way women express this. Wo(men) Mind the Water founder Pam Ferris-Olson is an experienced storyteller working as an educator, writer, photographer, videographer and podcaster. She examines the human relationship with the ocean through digital stories and a Wo(men) Mind the Water podcast. Pam collaborates with others to share their stories reflecting on how the ocean inspires them.
